First of all, Thank God It's Friday!

Second, you know how in my last post I joked about getting lost on our way to York University for our field trip? Well we DID get lost! Ms.MacMillian gave the weirdest directions ever. She got them off Google maps and said it was the fastest route but they are way faster routes. She gave us the worst route there is! First of all, our class got split in two groups. We took a bus from Islington Subway and ended up in Woodbridge which isn't in Toronto! Then in Woodbridge we had to pay an extra fare since we were transferring to a York Region bus. We couldn't find the bus stop for the second bus so we walked up the street where we though it was and ended up going into a hair salon. The manager was very nice and talked to us and tried to help us as much as possible. It felt like being on The Amazing Race, lol. Finally we found the proper bus which took us straight to York. And we met up with some of our classmates on that bus. Once we were York it was fine and we found the building we had to go with no problems but that route was a pain in the ass. There's buses at Jane, Keele and Downsview that go straight to the campus with no transferring. We took the Downsview route to get home and it was way faster.

Now onto the play. It was actually 2 plays with an intermission between them. The first one was called Table Talk and the second was called A Play About The Other Play. Table Talk had an all male cast and A Play About The Other Play was essentially the same play just with an all female cast and it was slightly different. They were very bare bone plays. Nothing fancy, each play had about six people with minimal costumes and props. The main props were these huge long tables with very simple sets. The theatre was also a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It was like the size of a small lecture hall with huge space where the "stage" was.

Table Talk was about a bunch of guys who all worked together and just focused on male issues. Like, John Hates Nigel, Nigel hates John, Everybody hates Nigel. And it dealt with their issues with competition in the workplace and stuff. It reminded me a lot of Mad Men actually. While the second play was almost the same thing but it was more about a females role in the workplace and was just a female perspective on the first play.

Everyone preferred the male version but I'm always the oppostive of everybody else and thought the female version was better. The male version lost my attention a few times and I just connect with female characters more. The males were better actors and the girls did make some mistakes like forgetting to bring their prop on stage with them or something but their play/story and characters were more fun.

We had a half day today so Liz hosted a movie party at her house. It was okay, not one of the best we've had. We watched White Chicks and Dead Silence. I've seen White Chicks like 3 times now. It's funny but stupid at the same time. And I was nearly asleep during Dead Silence. Very boring but the parts I did watch were pretty creepy. Anyway, it was kinda fun but it could've been better. Side note: Archie is pissing me off! All the way to Liz's house, Danielle and I were bitching about her! But w/e. We just have to put up with her.

Tomorrow I get to miss school for a drama field trip. We're going to York University to see a play by their drama department. I hope it's a good play. Oh, and guess what? Ms. MacMillian's not even coming with us! She's meeting as there in the afternoon since she has to teach in the morning. Watch us get lost, lol.

My knee has been randomly hurting for the past two days. It's all stiff and weird. When I bend it, especially when I sit down it kills. It's happened before, usually if I sit in the same position for a long time, ie. on a long car ride but I realized it gets worse when the weather's colder. Bleh, I'll just have to put up with it.

I've been meaning to post this but I keep forgetting. Mr. Drennan came back yesterday! I had heard he was coming back but I wasn't sure. But anyway he's back for sure now! I'm so glad! Our long term sub was nice and was a good teacher but the class was kinda boring so I'm glad Drennan came back.

And one more random thing. I meant to put this in my update from yesterday but forgot. A few weeks ago we made brochures for biology. Anyway, yesterday Ms.Kwan asked me if I still had mine and she asked for the rubric she used to mark it and said she's gonna make a copy of it. It was really strange. Either she's using it as an example for future students but that doesn't make sense because she only gave me a 71% on it and usually examples are projects that person got an 80+ on and then why would she need the rubric. So...I'm thinking (hoping) she's decided to re mark it and give me a higher mark, lol. Anyways, I'll keep you guys posted!

Here's some other random crap. We made masks today in drama and it was actually fun! It was def. better than last year. Ms.Macmillian was much more calm about it than Ms.Wilson. ms.Mac still did have her stressed out moments but she definitely wasn't as bad as Ms.Wilson was. She didn't make it a big production like it was last year. Megan applied it and did a better job than Archie, who did mine last year.

Speaking of Megan (Chelsea's twin), she's actually really nice when she isn't with Chelsea. I have english and drama with her and she's really sweet. It's fun to gossip with her and I talk to her a lot during english class. Like we're not ever going to hang out outside of school or anything but during class she's fun to talk to. Just as long as Chelsea isn't around.

Now I have to go wash my hair since bits of plaster are in it. I hope you all have a good evening!

Okay, let's start with the good things. First a funny and embarassing story that I hope amuses you. I had a huge Susan Mayer moment today. I went to the mall with my mom tonight and we had a snack from the food court before we left. I went to Taco Bell and as I was reaching for napkins I knocked my tray on the ground so they had to remake my tacos. Very embarrassing! Sadly things like that are a weekly (daily) occurence in my life. Is anyone willing to share their embarrasing moments so I don't feel so retarded?

I really need to stop shopping with my mom. I usually get annoyed and we get pissy with each other. But my friends usually don't have money and Liz always wants to go to cloverdale since Ardene is there. But w/e. I still had some fun. I got some ideas for Christmas gifts. My mom bought me the 2010 DH calendar which was nice. But I probably can't open it until christmas :P They had the Madonna one too and I couldn't decide (I'm currently using the 2009 Madonna one) but I went with the DH one and maybe someone will give me the Madonna one for Christmas.

Nothing else interesting has been going on. In film/video I learned how to make a powerpoint presentation! That could come in handy one day.

We have to make masks again in grade 11 drama since a major part of Comedia De'll Arte is the masks the characters wear and we're doing it the same way we did it in grade 10 drama and it's going to be so gross but w/e. We have a smaller class than in grade 10 drama so it'll probably be a different experience.

Ms.MacMillan decided we should cut the strips of plaster in advance so it would be less messy on Monday and it was actually kind of relaxing. Even though it was messy I was calm and everyone was just chilling. I find that even though I'm bad at art and art related things I'm always really calm while doing it. Drawing, making collages etc. really relax me. If only I was good at them!

Almost every night this week I've been doing something with friends after school! Usually I just go home and hang out alone until my mom gets home but it's probably better to do stuff with friends.

On Monday I was helping Archie with a bio project which tbh was really boring. She didn't really need help so I was just watching her do it. (BTW, lately I've been more annoyed/pissed off with her than usual. But that's for another entry.)

On Tuesday I met up with tangldupinplaid at Starbucks which was SO MUCH FUN! We talked for like two hours about random things :P It was fun since I hadn't talked to her in person for a while.

On Wednesday Ivan took Liz, Archie and I to Pizza Pizza and treated us which was so nice♥

Then tonight I went to Cloverdale with Liz and Danielle for a bit. Ardene always has awesome sales so I bought 3 pairs of fingerless gloves and two of them are lace and they remind me of 80s Madonna♥ They're awesome!

I don't think I have major plans for the weekend but you never know. Something could come up. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)

I was right about my biology mark. I'm failing with a 47 DX. But, this report card in November is kinda pointless since there's like 2-4 things from each class on it. Since I did badly on the first 2 quizzes of the year, it really pulled my mark down. But oh well. I have the rest of the year so I'm sure by the January report card it'll be higher. I just have to work harder. But it's gonna totally fuck up my average since I have 80s-90s in everything else except for a 60 in math :P

Oh and after drama class today Ms.MacMillan stopped Adam, Mark and I before we left to tell us how we're getting the highest marks in the class and how we have to be leaders for the rest of the class who tbh are huge slackers. It's a university/college preparation class yet these people are treating it like grade 9 drama which was a free for all. It's kinda annoying but I'm glad Ms.Mac said that us today :). It made my day!

Clique drama is so stupid. (I'll elaborate tomorrow.)

I have nothing new or exciting going on so sorry for the lack of updates! Report cards are coming out soon so I'll probably make a post about my marks then. I have a feeling I'm going to have really low marks in math and biology :/ I got a 63% on the most recent bio test and we just did a project which I think I did okay on but I did terribly on everything else so I'm pretty sure I'm either failing or getting a mark in the low 50s D: We just finished our genetics unit and we're now on systems of the body (or whatever it's called) and I'm good at that stuff so hopefully by the end of first term I have a better mark. (Sorry I complain about my bio marks so much).

And, I've seen a few people on my flist post their adresses for christmas cards/gift exchange. I really, really wish I could send people stuff but my mom's pretty uncomfortable with me having online friends plus most of my flist is from outside of Canada so it would probably cost money. I'm so sorry guys :( I feel bad because I love all of you so much and I really want to show my appreciation. But I promise I'll do something like make you guys icons or something along those lines.

Since I can't give anyone gifts or cards I don't expect you guys to send me anything but if you're feeling generous message me on facebook or e-mail me and I'll give you my adress.

My second mini friends cut is complete. I kept most of you. I don't mean anything personal if you were cut. We just don't have anything in common or never really clicked/knew each other. Today was the award assembly and people were getting awards from last year. I already mentioned that I got grade 10 honours and the grade 10 fun & fit award. Anyway the VP called "Anyone getting honours or a profiency award, please come up now." But the seniors all thought it was only the juniors going up. So after everyone from my grade had their certificate Ms. Park got up and started giving the closing remarks when all the grade 12s started yelling "NO! No! You missed us!" Then all the VP's and guidance counselors (who were giving out the certificates) were like o_O until they realized none of the grade 12s had come up. Then the process had to start all over again.

FAIL!

Come on, they had to have noticed they hadn't given out any certificates to the grade 12s! And I can't believe none of the grade 12s heard "Anyone getting..." haha.

I GOT A 96% ON MY AMERICAN HISTORY TEST!

I thought I had failed it or barely passed so I was quite surprised when I saw the 96. It made my day. That's like the best mark I've ever gotten on a test! :D I was so happy and I still am! Plus, I didn't even study for it! I studied for like half an hour the night before and then 5 minutes before the test. So yeah, very happy with my 96%.

Oh and here's a funny story. While Archie and I were at Clarica drinking coffee like we usually do after school some losers in our grade tried to sell us weed. UM NO THANKS! It was so weird and annoying!

So I'll probably do another friends cut sometime in the future. Nothing big, just a few people. Most of you are safe, it's just the people I don't really know outside of LJ, don't have anything in common with or if we never comment on each other's journals. Feel free to leave a comment if you feel worried.

I spent my Halloween at the movies with my friends. We saw Paranormal Activity and Saw VI.

Paranormal Activity is definitely overrated. The scary parts are all in the trailer. I had heard from people that it wasn't very scary but I was hoping they were wrong, but nope, it's not scary until the last 5 minutes. Also, I don't get why the trailers show people at screenings spazzing and freaking out, since everyone in our theatre was pretty calm, aside from some occasional awkward laughter. The theatre wasn't even half full so maybe that's it but I was bored during most of it. But I guess we'll see what happens once I go to bed XD.


Then I wish I hadn't seen Saw VI. My friends dragged me to it. I hate movies like that. Plus, I haven't seen any of the first 5 ones so I was confused as fuck. I spent most of the movie, looking away from the screen with my eyes closed. Blood and gore movies are gross, I prefer psychological stuff like The Ring and The Grudge. Half of the people I was sitting with hated it too. We all had our ipods and cell phones to distract us, lol. I even listened to my mp3 player for a few minutes to distract myself.

Plus that headache/nausea thing is worse than ever. I have a huge headache now. I took a Motrin and it didn't do anything :(

Today was such a shit day. First, at lunchtime somehow the fire alarm went off. I have no idea if someone pulled it or what happened since there's a bunch of different stories going on, but anyway we had to stand outside in the POURING RAIN for a few minutes so it was wet and cold and annoying. My sweater got soaked since I left my coat in my locker.

Then in drama class, we're working on Comedia Dell' Arte and Ms.Macmillian wants us to write our own scenes for it. No problem, except for the fact that I got put into a group with people who didn't really care and made me do all the writing and were just like "Yeah, yeah, that's cool. Write whatever you want." Then today when we presented it my teacher called the script dry and unfunny and something else that I can't remember. Comedia Dell' Arte is over the top and hysterical which I am not. I'm better at writing drama. Anyway her criticism made me depressed for a while. I mean, I know part of stuff in the arts is criticism but it still upset me. I know it's not all me and that my group should've helped me but still. One of the people in my group agreed to add some stuff for his character but he's not the most trustworthy person on the planet so I'm gonna rewrite the script just in case. Then I went home and took a nap which made me feel a bit better. And I had Taco Bell for dinner which made me happier too.

Another thing is that for the past few days I've had a headache and felt kinda nauseous/dizzy. I have no idea why. I've also felt really weak and tired like I haven't been sleeping enough. I still have a appetite which is good but I wish the headache and dizziness would go away.

I guess I should finish this update on a happy note. Remember a few posts back I talked about seeing I had honours and having no idea? Well, I thought ECI had gotten rid of the awards assembly for that kind of thing except it turns out it's next week. It wasn't in June like it was when I was in grade nine. I have grade 10 honours and I'm also getting profiency in PAF20 which means proficiency in personal fitness (fun & fit). I didn't even know know they had a gym award and it's a really stupid award but hey, it's an award so I'll take it! How sad is it that I'm getting an award for gym. And how sad is it that that was my highest mark last year.

Okay, I'm kinda scared about school. Today I got a 2/27 on a biology quiz. WTF IS WRONG WITH ME? I did study for it but this unit we're doing right now is confusing. I know I shouldn't worry since it's still the beginning of the year and there's still plenty of chances to raise my mark. Plus my teacher did say this is probably the hardest unit so I shouldn't worry but I am freaking out a tiny bit. The next unit is dissections and parts of the body and stuff like that and that stuff is easier than what we're doing now (genetics) so hopefully I pass this course. I'll be happy if I pass with a 50%. I don't plan to do anything science related after high school and I just need a 3rd science credit so I'm just hoping I pass at the end of the year. I guess I just have to study my ass off for the unit test. I remember last year I was barely passing science at the beginning of the year and had a 67 by June so there's still hope, lol.
